TRADITIONAL USAGE
Intravaginal boric acid has been used for over a hundred years.
FORMULATED BY A DR
Unlike other boric acid suppositories that claim to be mini, moisturizing or contain aloe / tea tree or other unstudied ingredients, BoriCap has been formulated to the exact specifications of the American College of Gynecology.
NO IRRITATING FILLERS
BoriCap does not contain ANYTHING other than pure boric acid.... no fillers, dyes, or perfumes.
THE ORIGINAL
BoriCap is the ORIGINAL boric acid suppository that women and their doctors have been trusting since 2014. Our 5 star reviews speak for themselves! Women have been singing BoriCap's praises for a decade!
Pure Boric Acid Powder
-
Boric Acid is a mineral, and has mild acidic properties. Not all boric acid powder is created equal! We searched far and wide to be sure that the boric acid used in BoriCap is silky smooth, like talcum powder. You don't need any more irritation in an already irritated vagina!
-
BoriCap is also pharmaceutical grade (NF is a fancy way of saying pharmaceutical grade). It means that it is EXTRA pure, without any heavy metals or contaminants. Cheaper boric acid can be technical grade, which is not as pure as BoriCap.
Made without
-
Sand-like fillers, dyes used to color capsules, perfumes, tea tree, aloe.
These are all unstudied irritants that have no place in a boric acid suppository!
This product is a third party lab tested and verified for potency, purity (no heavy metals, microbiological and bacterial contaminants, pesticides, volatile organic compounds), and efficacy.
Proudly manufactured in the USA. All natural ingredients, BoriCap is manufactured using Good Manufacturing Practices.

frequently asked questions...
Normal vaginal pH can sometimes get out of whack. Maybe you're stressed, or you've been taking antibiotics, or your hormones are fluctuating. When that happens, the pH level of your vagina can become too acidic or too alkaline. When the pH isn't normal, it allows yeast or bacteria to grow where it normally couldn't.
Balanced vaginal pH creates an environment where good bacteria can thrive and bad bacteria and yeast are less likely to cause trouble. It's like giving your vagina the perfect environment to stay healthy and happy.
BoriCap is manufactured right here in the US, on the east coast in an FDA and GMP compliant facility.
When BoriCap mixes with your physiological fluids, you may have discharge the next morning when you wake up. Some days, we find that the discharge doesn’t come until later in the day *surprise!*, so it’s best to wear a cotton pantyliner the day after using BoriCap. Sometimes it even decides to come out when you roll over in the morning, so an overnight pantyliner isn’t a bad idea either.
If you’re even thinking about sex while you have a yeast infection, more power to you girl! While it is recommend to abstain from sexual activity while undergoing treatment to avoid further yeast and BV irritation to yourself or your partner, you may resume sexual relations 24 hours after you last used a suppository.
Definitely use BoriCap while you have your period! Many women get infections before menses because of hormonal changes, and find using BoriCap during their period helps keep their pH balanced. It’s best to avoid using a tampon in conjunction with a BoriCap suppository to allow for proper contact of the suppository with vaginal fluids.
No, boric acid has no impact on the so-called "good bacteria" in the vagina. Otherwise known as lactobacilli, boric acid helps to maintain healthy levels so that BV and yeast have difficulty taking over the vaginal environment. Boric acid also has a direct anti-fungal and anti-bacterial effect on organisms that are unhealthy for the vagina. BoriCap, contains no other ingredients (fillers, flow agents or dyes) and is felt to be safest and most effective in managing vaginal health.
First and foremost, it’s imperative that you’ve been seen by your doctor, and yeast and/or BV has been diagnosed. Your body is going to do what your body wants to do. Much like a diabetic or someone who suffers from high blood pressure, the tendency will always be there.
There is no current research on whether condoms are compromised by boric acid suppositories.
Many women suffer from vaginal dryness due to hormonal changes, medication usage, dehydration and a multitude of other factors. Because BoriCap needs some moisture for ease of insertion as well as to help the gelatin capsule dissolve, vaginal dryness is a problem. A water based lubricant can make the insertion process more comfortable and can speed up the dissolving of the suppository.
Using your finger is a perfectly acceptable way to insert BoriCap but if you feel more comfortable, we also offer applicators that can be purchased separately or a 60 count bottle which includes an applicator. Regardless of what method you choose, once inserted, you should not be able to feel BoriCap inside of you. If you are uncomfortable in any way after insertion, you did not place the suppository in far enough and should reposition it. Adding some lubrication to your finger will make the repositioning more comfortable.
There is no clear research on whether or not it is safe. Please ask your obstetrician if boric acid therapy is right for you!
BoriCap suppository use has not been studied in nursing mothers, and we cannot recommend usage.
Boric acid is a mineral, and its chemical properties are not affected by heat whatsoever.
